Thanks for visiting the 2008 Rally of the Tall Pines website!
 2007 Winners Antoine L'estage & Nathalie Richard
Just imagine if you took a small car, gave it four-wheel-drive, turbocharged it to over 300 horsepower, and then drove it flat-out sideways down twisty treacherous forest roads – lined with trees, rocks and rows of cheering fans. Kicking up dirt or snow, spitting flames. Sliding on the edge of control, and sometimes over it! This is rally racing at the Rally of the Tall Pines and it is taking the world by storm.
The Rally of the Tall Pines (20-22 Nov. 2008) is dedicated to bringing you even more explosive competition this year! You won't want to miss round six of the Canadian Rally Championship this coming November.
Being just over 2 hours from Toronto, this event is your best opportunity to see and experience what the extreme sport of Performance Rally Racing is all about.
"It's no accident that good events and performances intersect" says The Toronto Star!

Something New For You at Tall Pines 08
This year at Tall Pines 08, in addition to continuing our tradition of 2 Pass Recce being offered, we have thrown in something special for you to "spice" things up a bit. We've added to the Saturday schedule the Golton Special Spectator Stage which will be held on the Golton property where the Maple Leaf Rally Club currently holds their winter and summer rallycross events. It is planned that the Special Spectator Stage will be about 2 km long over a variety of terrain and will be run twice during Saturday afternoon. This Special Spectator Stage will replace Castledine's Corner which will not be run this year. Our plans also are to keep as much stage length as possible BUT to have the rally finish much earlier than previous so that results will be in quickly and the post rally banquet/party to happen much sooner. We look forward to another record-breaking entry list and fierce competition as the rally season winds up at Tall Pines 08 in Bancroft, Ontario.

Mike Koch will be the Coordinator for 2008
The Maple Leaf Rally Club is pleased to announce that Mike Koch has accepted the offer to act as Coordinator of the Rally of the Tall Pines for 2008. Mike is an accomplished manager of large projects and a competent communicator. In addition, Mike brings to this position a wealth of rally experience, ranging from top-ranking co-driver to instructor to organizer. These skills make him an ideal candidate for the position. Members of the Pines Core Committee eagerly welcome Mike to the position and look forward to having his leadership on the team. An event of the size and calibre of the Pines requires a large committee. Most committee members are returning to their positions for 2008, however a few assignments remain to be filled. A posting outlining our needs will be issued in the near future.
